Transforming the black carpeted end table into a fun and girly night stand!

To transform this night table, I had to scrape all that black and blue textured spray on paint stuff. It was awful. Then after I removed the black carpet top, I had to go on a hunt for something to replace it.
I removed the ugly chunk of carpeted wood from the top and replaced it with the top of another end table. Screwed it in to place (well, my hubby did that for me) and painted the whole piece white.
I traded the outdated knob on the door with a stylish pewter one from Ikea and painted the hinges silver. Last but not least, I "painted" a mixture of Elmer's glue and water on the inside metal cubby and covered it with peices of scrapbooking paper. The purple polka dots on the door were painted from a stencil I made from a piece of laminated paper.
A lady bought this from me as a birthday gift for her daughter and she was thrilled when she received it! Score! :) You can check out all the pictures and also the before and afters of the desk I did to match on my blog, Kammys Korner
