Jungle Themed Baby Room Ideas Here are ideas for creating a jungle theme nursery, which is great for both boys and girls, which is probably why it is so popular with parents. Also great for shared rooms and playrooms too! Here are several ideas that showcase what we did on a shoestring budget in an apartment when we had our first baby. We painted furniture, paintings, walls, made curtains and thrifted jungle themed lamps to make our baby room a style that would last a long time and would grow with our son. Two fundamental things to keep in mind when planning out a baby room are comfort and safety. The space should be comfy for both you and baby. For example, don't buy a rocking chair or glider without trying it out first! It may look beautiful in a magazine, but when you wander in the room at 4 in the morning, comfort will be what you are most thankful for. Some examples of decorating with safety in mind are using plexiglass instead of glass in framed art and not choosing decorations with sharp or fragile elements. Also, things should be hung securely and out of baby's reach. I am no safety expert (you can hire one to inspect your home) but these are a few ideas that should be obvious when you select decor items.
